Ex-Staff Interview
This week we decided to interview an ex-staff member, foodie!
1 - Would you encourage others to apply for staff?
In my opinion, if you aren't sure over whether you should or not, leave it till you are. You want to be sure you want to do it, as it can be a lot of work at times.
2 - Why did you apply for staff?
I love playing on skycade, and it always annoyed me when I couldn't punish a hacker, or a racist player in chat, I really enjoy helping people, and to be honest I just really wanted to help out on the server as best I could (and still do).
3 - What’s your favorite part about skycade?
The community (mostly, it can be a bit toxic at times), because I love chatting with people and ending up finding a really cool person with similar interests. Even if I never speak to them again, I enjoy chatting with new people and in some cases (like with Ryan aka 5QY) finding a really great (and funny) friend.
4 - What’s your best memory from being a staff member?
(This is probably quite stereotypical) one was when I got my first ban, I was extremely happy to have been accepted, and was overjoyed to be able to help the server out more. Another thing would be just chatting with the team in staff chats, they're a great team, and some of the most friendly people to chat with. That's also partly one of the things I miss most.
5 - Would you ever re-apply? Explain why or why not:
Yes, I was quite sad and disappointed when I found out I wasn't being promoted, and I still love helping the community out, really enjoy playing on the server and would love a second chance.
